    • Shield Safe© is designed to isolate the OEM components that control the automatic entry and starting systems of the vehicle. Once installed it allows the vehicle to communicate between its systems when required without being interfered with by external RF fields. No interaction is therefore required as it operates in the background at all times and entry and engine start is via a normal key system.

    In order to give a remote locking facility Shield Safe contains a new central locking Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system with up to 4 programmed key fobs for the vehicle. This is fitted to act just like a normal RKE system but will not operate in a RF ECM environment even though it is of a much higher power than on the OEM sys-tem. The system also comes with 4 OEM main keys that replace the emergency key found in the OEM key fob.
