In keeping with the Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring philosophy of Total Quality Management, we only utilize pre-certified ballistic grade steel.

The pre-certified ballistic grade steel is tested by a third party, independent of the manufacturer, to the protection levels as required by Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring using the standards set out in the Ballistics Standards section.

All pre-certified ballistic grade steel used by Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring is labeled with heat numbers, making each piece of steel traceable back to the manufacturer. Using such steel means the manufacturer is fully confident in the craftsmanship and quality of the steel.

Ballistic glass cannot maintain the claimed level of protection at higher temperatures. This effect has been demonstrated and confirmed by several independent testing laboratories for Ballistic Glass. Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring utilizes ballistic glass which maintains ballistic glass performance even at higher ambient temperatures.

In addition, our in-house quality control the best optical clarity through rigorous visual inspection. All curvatures are tested to maintain the best fit, therein creating the lowest possible stress on the glass.

Using CAD and high precision laser technology, sheets of ballistic steel are cut and bent to the exact measurements of the armoring design.  Advanced machinery and highly trained technicians allow Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring to utilize large pieces of armoring panels instead of welding small pieces together.  This retains the original properties of the ballistic steel, ensuring that the performance of the material is not compromised.  Armoring panels for the front, rear, sides, roof and floor are interlocked and overlapped. 

Due to the complex shape of the vehicle firewall, many manufacturers weld small pieces of armoring together, compromising the ballistic properties of the material while weakening the integrity of the firewall panel, hence severely reducing vehicle survivability against IED attacks.  Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring utilizes large pieces of overlapped opaque armoring to minimize welding points, providing much stronger firewall armoring with no gaps.

All Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring vehicles have the option to be equipped with ballistic steel protection over the battery, ECU, fenders, behind the headlights, the master cylinder and the fuel tank.  Armoring these essential components of the vehicle ensures that the vehicle remains drivable to perform evasive maneuvers during an attack. 

Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring offers upgraded suspension to improve the armored vehicle performance and handling.  
Heavy duty shock absorbers and heavy duty struts with 2-stage coil springs and external gas/oil reservoir allow for superb handling and cater to the additional weight of the armor on the vehicle.  All Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring vehicles are equipped with run-flat tires, allowing the vehicle to evade attackers even if the tires are punctured.

By reinforcing the chassis, Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring armored vehicles provide superior blast protection with a strong armored cabin that is integrated to the chassis so that the armoring will remain intact.
