The armoured Land Cruiser 300 suits executive travel in Kampala, while the armoured Land Cruiser 76 and Land Cruiser 78 are built for field routes, from CEN B4 to B7. Our armoured Toyota Hilux serves cash and valuables transport. Humanitarian and health teams can choose the Land Cruiser 78 armoured ambulance, and government agencies the MEVA Valor APC.
Uganda drives on the left, so vehicles are built in right-hand drive. Importing an armoured vehicle into Uganda needs special permission, and the armouring must be declared to the Uganda Revenue Authority; we help you prepare both. How long does delivery to Uganda take?
Vehicles are shipped from Ras Al Khaimah to Mombasa, which typically takes around two weeks, then transported by road to Kampala through Malaba or Busia, which takes about a week including border clearance. Total lead time also depends on the model, protection level, our build schedule and your import permission. We confirm a delivery date in writing with every quotation.
What is needed to import an armoured vehicle into Uganda?
Armoured vehicles are a restricted import in Uganda, so special permission is needed before shipment. The armouring must be declared in full to the Uganda Revenue Authority, because it affects the customs value, and vehicles must meet UNBS inspection rules. We supply the specifications, ballistic certificates and invoices your application and customs entry need.
What is the best civilian armoured car for Uganda?
For most private buyers in Uganda, we recommend a civilian armoured Land Cruiser. The Land Cruiser 300 suits city and executive use, while the Land Cruiser 76 and 78 handle long unpaved routes. Uganda is landlocked, so vehicles are shipped by sea from Ras Al Khaimah to Mombasa in Kenya, then driven or trucked along the Northern Corridor to Kampala, crossing at Malaba or Busia. The sea voyage typically takes around two weeks and the road leg about a week, including border clearance. We confirm the full lead time, including build time, in writing with your quotation.
