Armoured Toyota Land Cruiser Secondary Vehicle Electrical Distribution System (SVEDS)
With 75 years' experience in manufacturing vehicles, Mahindra is aware that a vehicles electrical system are specifically designed to power the components that come with the OEM vehicle. Any interference with the OEM electronics can cause complete vehicle system failures and even vehicle fires.

Often, during the conversion from a Soft Skin vehicle to an Armoured Vehicle additional electronic system are added. To avoid making any changes to the OEM vehicles systems we have developed a Secondary Vehicle Electrical Distribution System (SVEDS). The SVEDS takes power direct from the battery/alternator to a secondary fuse box. Systems such as radios, intercoms, window lifters, etc. all take their power from the SVEDS.

At the battery connections where the SVEDS takes its power from, both the positive and negative are fused.

Features
SVEDS combines the power distribution, system control, safety features, main electronic control units (ECU’s), communications architecture and is easily increased to provide additional functions. The system incorporates all fusing, relays, switching and control, communications systems, vehicle monitoring systems and interfaces all in a single area making maintenance easy. Combined with a wiring protocol system that allows for easy identification and similarity across fleets of vehicles the system operates effectively (all wiring is designed overrated for environmental factors).
